Rabbit Medicine

Our staff are experienced in all aspects of Rabbit medicine, surgery and dentistry.

At the Vets is your go-to place for rabbit healthcare! All our vets are confident with their day to day needs but Helen has a special interest in rabbits and other small furry creatures and takes on the more complex medical, surgical and dental cases. Our nurses are happy to help with nail trims, grooming, and dietary advice in nurse consultations.

We love rabbits and aim to provide the best possible care for them while catering for their specific needs. To this end we have a dedicated rabbit ward and all the specialised equipment needed to perform routine and more complex surgeries and dentistry, as well intensive hospital care of sick rabbits. Our nursing team are trained and experienced in anaesthetic safety, monitoring, and postoperative care of these delicate creatures.

We recommend yearly health checks and vaccinations for all rabbits. It is important to review their diet, check their teeth are in good condition, make sure they are not getting overweight and monitor for chronic conditions as they get older.

If you are thinking about getting a rabbit or would like some advice on your rabbit’s diet, husbandry or health, please get in touch- Helen is always happy to rabbit on about rabbits and we have several helpful handouts as well.
