Dr Liz Miller – BVM&S, BSc, CertAVP (GSAS)

4Liz joins us from the UK, having emigrated along with her young son, and returning Kiwi husband.  She graduated with a veterinary degree from Edinburgh University in 2007, having gained a degree in Animal Science from the University of Wales in 2001.  She spent a year in mixed practice, before deciding on a small animal career.  Spending the next few years in Devon, she then took a promotion, becoming a small animal clinical director for a busy practice in Cornwall.

During her 5 years in Cornwall, she gained the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (General Small Animal Surgery).  Her particular areas of interest, along with surgery and wound reconstruction, include advanced dentistry, emergency medicine and analgesia/anaesthetics – she has also completed a course on backyard poultry!

She is joined in NZ by her dog Delphi and cat Marti, who have settled into their new life well. Liz enjoys tramping, wine-making, singing and various handy-crafts, along with running around after a very active toddler!
